Odp. 1. Cytat ze strony http://www.angelfire.com/biz/snwvlly/ws19.htm :
The "A" set operates from 2 to 8 Mc/s on either R/T (radio-telephone or AM), CW, or MCW (tone-modulated CW, for communicating with receiving sets without BFO's). Range is about 10 miles on R/T or 20 miles on CW between vehicles using an 8-foot whip antenna. " ("CW" is Morse Code - doubles the range, especially in bad conditions. Although I looked forward to it in my Cadet Signals days, the Army never bothered with CW by the '50's, if ever.) But I don't think I ever saw "10 miles" with the A Set, or even 5. Anyway, the spec file goes on to say:
"The "B" set operates from approx. 230 to 240 Mc/s using R/T only. Range is several hundred yards between vehicles using a 20-inch whip antenna."
"A" to ta dłuższa osadzona w "koszyczku", "B" - krótsza w "cebulce"
