TankRed1070
Hi, Intersting project. It will be rally a monster. Especially in 1/35. When I tried to google some infos I found quite a lot of photos. I guess enough to make a model but I belive that you know them already. Try to ask on militaryphotos.net and good luck. BTW: it will be very interesting to follow your project so please keep us up to date. Cheers

carrey
thanks for your interest. updates are there every working day, approx 11:00 GMT. speaking of reference photos, i googled over, but found scarce information. there're only 4 good pictures made by some czech, and that's all. no interior, no weapon bay, no transmission close-ups. therefore, if someone can make good walkaround with camera, it could be helpful. as i know, there're many Oka's left in ex-Warszaw Pact countries. ArmiA
It's very nice to see a scratchbuild in the age of resin and photo etched updates. And seeing a scratchbuild made with such precision really makes my heart sing! Cheers.

ShaDow FoX
how do you made a wheels ? You have bought ?
carrey
this model is 100% free of any aftermarket. absolutely everything is done from scratch. wheels are easy done: 1) cut 13 circles of 1mm polystyrene for each wheel, glue together, press. 2) drill centre, put on screw, insert in proxxon micromot, lathe to torus. 3) draw protector trees, cut, glue to wheel. 4) bend protector to inside, press to table. 5) turn over, repeat for other side. 6) screw wheel on micromot again, lathe protector separators. 7) finish the wheel. pictures of finished details for wheels will follow. you will piss hot of the level of details that can be done, far greater than trumpeter wheels. 8)

SmokHaosu
Indescribable ! For me that is unimaginable to make 13 full scratch wheels. Wheels lake yours.
carrey
no no no, 8 wheels, each is 13 mm thick, therefore, to make 1 wheel I glue together 13 circles.
SmokHaosu
Sorry, my gaffe You know, monday morning But 8 wheels are not worse than

carrey
The story continues... http://www.mediafire.com/?765ylcppmk4vf Fully working (articulating) suspension, torsion bars and shock absorbers will be added later. Transmission bars etc. internal stuff - still no information (anyone wants to visit Oka in Sofia and take alot of pictures? ), so gizmology proposed. Working on wheels - drawings miss 3 mm of wheels' width, therefore I must figure out how to make them more realistic and KrAZ-like without totally reworking all 8 pcs.
