Dorisa "Chico" Fremana ze sławnego dywizjonu "Jolly Rogers". Włąsne modyfikacje to dorobienie górnych klapek chłodzących na obwodzie osłony silnika (charakterystyczne dla pierwszej serii F4U-1A dla Navy), wychylenie powierzchni sterowych i dorobienie paru drobiazgów (napędy trymerów, przewody hamulcowe), imitacja odkształceń powierzchni w tylnej części kadłuba. Nie znalazłem ani jednego samolotu z rejonu, który zachowałby te obwódki. A szukałem. Oczywiście mógł gdzieś zdarzyć się wyjątek, ale byłby to wielki rarytas. O kulisach sprawy ciekawie pisze Kolacha w artykule o Hogach Blackburna publikowanym w Aero, o ile pamiętam. Nieco wyjaśnień na ten temat jest też w ostatnim AeroPlanie na stronie 35.
